You will build digital twins from our lidar maps, enabling robots to perceive intrusions, fires and sensor faults across sites, and to train policies that transfer to real deployments. Work with our Skills & Orchestration engineers and Reliability & Test Infrastructure engineer to create scalable, GPU-accelerated RL environments and production-grade simulation pipelines that

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years building robotics simulation or RL training environments.
• Hands-on with Isaac Sim or Isaac Lab; MuJoCo or Gazebo also considered.
• Strong Python; C++ a plus.
• 3D data: point clouds, meshes, scene formats such as USD.

Aufgaben

• Map to twin: build digital twins from lidar maps including geometry, semantics, materials, sensors.
• Create RL environments for learned skills such as multi-robot patrol and search.
• Design rare-event scenarios like intrusions, sabotage, weather, sensor failures.
• Develop realistic sensor simulation (RGB, thermal, lidar) to ensure transfer to real robots.
• Assess sim-to-real gap and close it.
• Scale environments to run many simulations in parallel on GPUs to accelerate learning.
