Job summary

CTC Resourcing Solutions AG, on behalf of its client, a global leader in production and process support for active pharmaceutical ingredients, seeks a Project Manager – Fire Protection for a 1-year, office-based assignment in the Canton Valais.

You will define and implement fire protection concepts for capital projects, coordinate with architects and fire protection specialists, oversee systems, manage contractors, ensure delivery on time and budget, and participate in commissioning and handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical, Process, or Chemical Engineering.
• VKF certification is a strong advantage.
• Fluent German; English basic/intermediate; French nice to have.
• Extensive experience with fire protection systems and relevant standards.
• Experience in pharma/biotech/chemical manufacturing environments.
• 5–10 years in engineering, project execution, or operations in related industries.

Responsibilities

• Support the definition and implementation of fire protection concepts and requirements for capital projects.
• Coordinate with architects, engineering partners, fire protection specialists, project teams, and the site fire brigade.
• Lead the technical oversight of fire protection systems including sprinkler, deluge, dry extinguishing, firewater networks, and firewater retention solutions.
• Manage contractors and vendors responsible for technical fire protection installations.
• Ensure project delivery in line with costs, timelines, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
• Participate in 3D design reviews and multidisciplinary coordination to resolve clashes and technical issues.
• Oversee commissioning, functional testing, and acceptance activities for fire protection systems.
• Participate in integrated system tests.
• Review, collect, and hand over as-built documentation and ensure smooth transfer to operations.
• Support additional engineering activities within the CAPEX team.
