Zusammenfassung

Shipping and Trading Network is seeking a technically strong, hands-on accountant to lead the finance team at our Swiss Head Office. The role covers accounting, tax, reporting, treasury and compliance, with responsibility for closing processes and group reporting.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of accounting or finance experience, solid IFRS knowledge, and English proficiency. Based in Switzerland, you will manage a small team and collaborate with external advisers.

Qualifikationen

• At least five to eight years of relevant accounting, finance or audit experience.
• Strong knowledge of Swiss tax, VAT and statutory-reporting requirements.
• Experience in shipping, commodities trading or international environments preferred.
• Fluent professional English.

• Manage the full accounting cycle including GL, AP, AR, accruals and reconciliations.
• Lead and develop a team of accounting and reporting professionals.
• Oversee monthly and annual closings, financial statements and group reporting.
• Ensure Swiss accounting, tax, VAT and statutory compliance.
• Coordinate audits and tax submissions with external advisers.
• Oversee treasury, payments, bank reconciliations and cash-flow monitoring.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and analyses.
• Monitor intercompany transactions and transfer-pricing documentation.
• Maintain strong internal controls and approval processes.
• Improve financial processes, reporting and automation.
• Support the CFO with analysis and strategic finance projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Previous experience in shipping, commodities trading or a related international environment is preferred.
• Comfortable remaining hands-on while managing and developing a team.
• Good knowledge of IFRS, Excel and ERP or accounting systems.
• Fluent professional English.
• Based in Switzerland with valid Swiss work authorization.
