Swiss Re in Zürich seeks an intern for our Intra-Group Retrocession and External Retrocession team to gain hands-on experience in financial accounting and reporting within a leading global reinsurance company. You will collaborate with Finance, IT and Risk Management, apply data analytics and coding (Python), support quarterly closing and help produce IFRS 17 statements while learning SAP, FPSL and LFD.

Qualifikationen

• Currently enrolled in, or recently completed, a bachelor’s or master’s degree in data analysis, economics, finance or a related quantitative field.
• Strong data-analytics knowledge with the ability to interpret complex datasets and derive actionable insights.
• Interest in quarterly closing processes and financial reporting.
• Willingness to acquire necessary system (SAP, FPSL, LFD) and technical knowledge.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Fluent in English, both written and oral.

Aufgaben

• Apply advanced data analysis and AI techniques to support IGR processes and external retrocession activities.
• Maintain and evolve code scripts (e.g., Python) to meet department targets, ensuring robustness and scalability.
• Validating and analyzing produced figures and serving as main point of contact for inquiries on financial results of internal and external retrocession.
• Contribute to the seamless quarterly production of financial statements for IGR and external retrocession.
• Support various initiatives and projects related to the financial reporting landscape.
