Barry Callebaut AG, the world’s leading chocolate and cocoa products manufacturer, seeks a Finance Business Partner for CSD Global Cocoa in Zurich. You will drive financial performance, support strategic growth, and collaborate with FP&A to deliver insights for cost leadership across the global cocoa footprint.

You will manage regional finance for Western Europe and lead a team, ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting, and decision support for make-or-buy analyses and capacity expansion.

Qualifikationen

  • 15+ years in finance (controlling/FP&A) or related fields.
  • Experience in finance business partnering in a production/industrial setting.
  • Exposure to soft commodities is a plus.
  • Fluent in English; French is a plus.

About the Role

Reporting to theVP,CFO Global Cocoa, this position is the right hand of the VP, Cocoa Manufacturing, driving the decision-making process by focusing on the financial performance of operations as well as supply chain. It aims at originating and implementing growth opportunities and value for Global Cocoaonmanufacturing costs and operational efficiency. It also supports financial reporting,planningand analysis, including "make or buy"deep dives. This position is a key player in shaping the mid and long-term strategy of Global Cocoa with respect to footprint and cost leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as strategic advisory interface to the business and management for Customer Supply & Development (CSD) related matters, and specifically acting as right hand for the VP, Cocoa Manufacturing, in close cooperation with CFO CSD and CFO Global Cocoa
  • Besides the global focus, the Finance BP CSD is also directly responsible for the Cocoa Region Western Europe, supported by 3 direct reports
  • Provide financial insights before and during the global S&OP process, specifically on defining the most cost-efficient production location globally and comparing to external product purchases (make or buy decision)
  • Lead the creation of cost data repository for logistic and factory costs to always take decisions based on latest information
  • Support capacity expansion projects and footprint studies
  • Maintaining the End-to-End Liquor Profitability model to determine the right benchmark for future business cases and enable having a Global Cocoa profitability consolidated view
  • Create financial transparency in cross-functional cost efficiency projects from E2E perspective (Sourcing, Logistics, Manufacturing, R&D, Pricing)
  • Given the importance of raw material costs, high focus on yields (beans, pressing) and waste reduction. Ensure yields are up to date with the risk teams for proper commodity hedging
  • Close collaboration with Pricing teams to ensure pricing tool is loaded with the right costs (including yields).
  • Lead monthly analysis of logistics cost drivers vs costs priced to customers thereby indicating optimization opportunities
  • Together with FP&A, (Group and Regional FP&A) provide insights and analysis on overall CSD costs for Global Cocoa, especially on forward looking basis (rolling forecast)
  • Setting up the right cost targets for budget and competitiveness, monitoring and evaluating performance against budget and prior year, identifying risks and opportunities and reviewing results and developing mitigating actions with the Finance BP’s on-site and plant management teams
  • Ensure with local CSD FBP’s that proper inventory management processes and stock counts are performed, this includes enforcement of proper process order management
  • Lead Global Cocoa CSD Finance team – consists of having the right profiles in the role and ensuring that they bring the right financial understanding to local site management team via coaching, developing and challenging

About You

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in finance (controlling/financial planning/business development/project management)
  • Experience in finance business partnering or financial planning and analysis within a production/industrial environment
  • Preferably exposure to commodities, specifically soft commodities
  • Minimum bachelor’s in economics, Finance, Business Administration, or similar. Master’s degree is a plus
  • Fluency in English a must; French language skills would be an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Knowledge of finance systems and business intelligence tools (SAP BOFC, BW, Analytics Cloud, EPM)
  • Solid SAP/ BW knowledge is very much preferred; familiarity with master data and processes that impact enterprise-wide performance reporting
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite especially with Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint is required; familiarity with KPI repositories, and data management tools are extremely helpful
  • Understanding of accounting processes and standards (IFRS)
  • Travel required depending on business needs (10-20%); Africa, South America, North America, Western Europe, Asia
