Lelaps is seeking a Field Medical Advisor – Oncology to support the Swiss market. You will operate as a medical and scientific expert in solid tumors, building peer-to-peer relationships with oncologists and external experts across Switzerland.

You will drive scientific exchanges, identify unmet medical needs, and contribute to the local medical strategy, lifecycle management and evidence-generation initiatives.

Qualifikationen

• Strong medical affairs experience in oncology.
• 3-5 years of experience in oncology; solid tumors as asset.
• Experience interacting with KOLs, advisory boards, scientific congresses.
• Have a car permit and willingness to travel within Switzerland.
• Experience on the Swiss market.

• Act as a key medical and scientific expert for the assigned oncology portfolio and development pipeline.
• Contribute to Swiss medical strategy development and implementation.
• Build and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with oncologists and external experts across Switzerland.
• Conduct high-quality, balanced scientific exchanges on clinical data and standards of care.
• Identify experts, networks, treatment pathways and evidence gaps.
• Gather and communicate actionable medical insights to evolve local medical strategy.
• Initiate and participate in scientific activities such as advisory boards and educational programmes.
• Support evidence-generation activities including registries and real-world studies.
• Assess research proposals and partnership opportunities with internal governance.
• Support clinical development activities with investigators and networks.
• Maintain scientific expertise through literature review and congress data.
• Attend national and international congresses and communicate developments to stakeholders.
• Contribute to launch preparation, indication expansion and lifecycle management with external insights.
• Provide scientific training and medical education to internal teams.
• Contribute to patient-focused medical initiatives with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Development, Market Access, Regulatory, PV, Marketing and regional/global teams.
• Represent the Swiss affiliate in regional/global medical projects.

Lelaps is supporting an international pharmaceutical company in the recruitment of a Field Medical Advisor – Oncology for the Swiss market.

As a field-based medical and scientific expert, you will develop trusted peer-to-peer relationships with healthcare professionals and leading experts across Switzerland. You will facilitate high-quality scientific exchange, identify unmet medical needs and generate insights that contribute to the affiliate’s medical strategy and ultimately improve patient care.

Your responsibilities

• Act as a key medical and scientific expert for the assigned oncology portfolio and development pipeline, with a particular focus on solid tumors and emerging therapeutic areas.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the Swiss medical strategy in close collaboration with the Medical Lead, translating scientific developments, field insights and unmet medical needs into relevant medical initiatives.
• Build and maintain trusted, long-term, peer-to-peer relationships with oncologists, key external experts, multidisciplinary teams, specialist centres, scientific societies and other relevant healthcare stakeholders across Switzerland.
• Conduct high-quality, balanced and non-promotional scientific exchanges on clinical data, treatment practices, evolving standards of care, therapeutic innovations and areas of unmet medical need.
• Identify key experts, institutional networks, treatment pathways, evidence gaps and opportunities for scientific collaboration within the therapeutic area.
• Gather, analyse and communicate actionable medical insights from the field to support the continuous evolution of the local medical strategy, portfolio development and future indications.
• Initiate, coordinate and participate in scientific activities such as advisory boards, expert meetings, educational programmes, scientific workshops and congress-related initiatives.
• Support evidence-generation activities, including investigator-initiated studies, real-world evidence projects, registries, observational studies, publications and other scientific collaborations.
• Assess scientific research proposals and partnership opportunities, ensuring appropriate internal evaluation, coordination and follow-up.
• Support clinical development activities when required, including scientific interactions with investigators, clinical study centres and relevant research networks.
• Maintain a strong level of scientific expertise through continuous review of medical literature, clinical developments, treatment guidelines, congress data and the evolving competitive landscape.
• Attend national and international scientific congresses, identify relevant new data and communicate key developments and potential implications to internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to launch preparation, indication expansion and lifecycle management activities by providing robust medical and scientific input based on external insights and the evolving treatment environment.
• Provide scientific training and medical education to internal teams, supporting onboarding and continuous learning while preserving the appropriate independence and governance of the Medical Affairs function.
• Contribute to patient-focused medical initiatives in collaboration with relevant internal and external stakeholders, helping identify opportunities to improve disease awareness, understanding of the patient journey and unmet patient needs.
• Collaborate closely with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Market Access, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, Marketing, Commercial and regional or global medical teams to ensure effective cross-functional coordination.
• Represent the Swiss affiliate within regional and global medical projects, scientific workstreams and cross-country initiatives where appropriate.
• Track and communicate relevant medical activities, stakeholder engagement, project progress, risks, opportunities and outcomes through appropriate reporting tools and performance indicators.
• Ensure that all medical activities are conducted in accordance with Swiss pharmaceutical regulations, pharmacovigilance requirements, applicable industry codes and internal compliance policies.

Your profile

• Strong medical Affairs Experience in Oncology
• 3-5 years of experience in oncology, solid tumors is a strong asset
• Experience interacting with KOL, advisory boards, scientific congress
• Have a car permit and willing to travel within Switzerland
• Experience on the swiss market
• Very good knowledge of English, French and German are an asset
