Job summary

Hitachi Energy Dry Transformers Switzerland SA in Ticino invites a Planning & Fulfillment Manager to lead end-to-end planning, demand translation, and production scheduling, aligning with strategy to balance service, inventory, capacity, and cost.

You will build and drive SE&OP, capacity and material planning, KPIs, and continuous improvement while mentoring a high-performing team in a global energy context.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • MBA or Supply Chain specialization preferred.
  • 8–10 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain, Planning, Fulfillment, Production Planning, Logistics, or Operations Management.
  • Minimum of 5 years of people leadership experience in Sales Engineering & Operations planning (preferably in an ETO business).
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and supply chain management software; knowledge of Advanced Planning Tools (like Drummer or Cyberplan is a plus).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making (Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification is a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the factory Planning processes from long-term Demand Planning to SE&OP, Capacity Planning, MPP, Detailed Scheduling, Material Planning, and S&OE.
  • Lead the local SE&OP process and align with Product Line Planning to ensure capacity and material availability meet long-term demand and financial goals.
  • Translate demand forecasts, orders, and project requirements into feasible plans and monitor forecast accuracy and backlog.
  • Manage short-, medium-, and long-term production and coordinate priorities and capacity to optimize utilization while ensuring reliable delivery.
  • Establish and monitor planning performance indicators for real-time factory visibility and continuous improvement.
  • Drive deployment and optimization of ERP (SAP 4/Hana), Advanced Planning and Scheduling, analytics, and digital supply chain solutions.
  • Lead continuous improvement and operational excellence across planning, procurement, inventory, fulfillment, and logistics.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Planning & Fulfillment organization.

In this highly visible leadership role, you will oversee and continuously enhance our end-to-end planning and fulfillment activities, translating customer demand into efficient and profitable execution. How you\'ll make an impact
  • Own and lead the factory Planning processes, starting from long-term Demand Planning, Sales Engineering & Operations Planning (SE&OP), Capacity Planning, Master Production Planning, Detailed Scheduling, Material Planning, and Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) processes.
  • Leading the local SE&OP process and aligning with Product Line Planning team, assess the factory’s ability to support the long-term demand plan and ensure alignment between customer requirements, production capacity, material availability, inventory strategy, and financial objectives.
  • Translate demand forecasts, customer orders, and project requirements into feasible supply, production, material, and delivery plans and constantly monitor forecast accuracy and backlog development.
  • Managing short-, medium-, and long-term production and coordinating production and supply priorities and capacity, optimize the utilization of installed and manned capacity while maintaining operational flexibility and reliable customer delivery.
  • Establish, monitor, and continuously improve the principal Planning & Fulfillment performance indicators (Customer On-Time Delivery, Schedule Adherence (Internal OTD), Delivery Total ThroughPut Time and TPT, Forecast Accuracy, Material Availability, Capacity Utilization, Inventory Turns, Supplier Delivery Performance) to provide real-time visibility of factory performance.
  • Drive the deployment, adoption, and optimization of ERP (SAP 4/Hana), Advanced Planning and Scheduling, analytics, and digital supply chain solutions.
  • Lead continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives across planning, procurement, inventory, fulfillment, logistics processes.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Planning & Fulfillment organization, including planning, material management, operative purchasing, fulfillment, and logistics professionals.
Your background
  • Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or a related field. Master\'s Degree (MBA or Supply Chain specialization) preferred.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain, Planning, Fulfillment, Production Planning, Logistics, or Operations Management.
  • Minimum of 5 years of people leadership experience in Sales Engineering & Operations planning (preferably in an ETO business).

  • Experience in transformers or electrical equipment is a plus but not mandatory.
