Hitachi Energy in Switzerland seeks a Planning & Fulfillment Manager to lead end-to-end planning, from demand to delivery across SE&OP, capacity, and MRP processes. You will optimize service levels, inventory use, and cost while guiding a high-performing team in a fast-moving environment.

The role requires 8–10 years in supply chain and strong ERP/APM tool knowledge; Italian and English fluency are essential. Hybrid work and professional development are offered.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Engineering or related field; MBA or Supply Chain specialization preferred.
• 8–10 years in Supply Chain, Planning, Fulfillment, Production Planning, Logistics, or Ops.
• 5+ years of people leadership in SEOP/OPS planning (ETO preferred).
• ERP systems and SCM software proficiency; AP tools like Drummer/Cyberplan a plus.
• Strong analytics, data-driven decisions; Lean/Six Sigma a plus.
• Fluent English; Italian required for local operations.

Aufgaben

• Lead factory planning: long-term demand planning, SE&OP, capacity planning, MPP, detailed scheduling, material planning, and S&OE.
• Align SE&OP with Product Line Planning; ensure demand vs capacity vs inventory vs financials.
• Translate forecasts and orders into feasible supply and delivery plans; monitor accuracy and backlog.
• Manage short-, medium-, long-term production; optimize capacity and ensure on-time delivery.
• Define and monitor KPIs: OTD, schedule adherence, throughput time, forecast accuracy, inventory turns.
• Drive ERP, APS, analytics, and digital SCM tool adoption; lead continuous improvement.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing Planning & Fulfillment team.

Join us as a Planning & Fulfillment Manager and become a key driver of our operational success In this highly visible leadership role, you will oversee and continuously enhance our end-to-end planning and fulfillment activities, translating customer demand into efficient and profitable execution. By connecting strategy with operations, you will lead planning processes, foster collaboration across the value chain, and ensure the optimal balance of service, inventory, capacity, and cost. Your expertise will help strengthen operational resilience, accelerate transformation initiatives, and support the achievement of our business and customer commitments.

How You'll Make An Impact

• Own and lead the factory Planning processes, starting from long-term Demand Planning, Sales Engineering & Operations Planning (SE&OP), Capacity Planning, Master Production Planning, Detailed Scheduling, Material Planning, and Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) processes.
• Leading the local SE&OP process and aligning with Product Line Planning team, assess the factory’s ability to support the long-term demand plan and ensure alignment between customer requirements, production capacity, material availability, inventory strategy, and financial objectives.
• Translate demand forecasts, customer orders, and project requirements into feasible supply, production, material, and delivery plans and constantly monitor forecast accuracy and backlog development.
• Managing short-, medium-, and long-term production and coordinating production and supply priorities and capacity, optimize the utilization of installed and manned capacity while maintaining operational flexibility and reliable customer delivery.
• Establish, monitor, and continuously improve the principal Planning & Fulfillment performance indicators (Customer On-Time Delivery, Schedule Adherence (Internal OTD), Delivery Total ThroughPut Time and TPT, Forecast Accuracy, Material Availability, Capacity Utilization, Inventory Turns, Supplier Delivery Performance) to provide real-time visibility of factory performance.
• Drive the deployment, adoption, and optimization of ERP (SAP 4/Hana), Advanced Planning and Scheduling, analytics, and digital supply chain solutions.
• Lead continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives across planning, procurement, inventory, fulfillment, logistics processes.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Planning & Fulfillment organization, including planning, material management, operative purchasing, fulfillment, and logistics professionals.

Your background

• Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or a related field. Master's Degree (MBA or Supply Chain specialization) preferred.
• Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain, Planning, Fulfillment, Production Planning, Logistics, or Operations Management.
• Minimum of 5 years of people leadership experience in Sales Engineering & Operations planning (preferably in an ETO business).
• Proficiency in ERP systems and supply chain management software; knowledge of Advanced Planning Tools (like Drummer or Cyberplan is a plus).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making (Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification is a plus).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information effectively. Italian is Mandatory; Fluent in English.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
• Experience in transformers or electrical equipment is a plus but not mandatory.
