Stonington Public Schools is hiring a General Maintenance Worker to support district facilities. The position runs Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., totaling 40 hours weekly under the Maintenance and Custodial Workers agreement.

Required are a vocational-technical training in a trade plus two years of experience, knowledge of building systems, the ability to lift 50 pounds, and safe work practices. A Connecticut CDL is desirable, and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifikationen

• Completion of a vocational-technical program in a trade and two years of trades experience.
• Working knowledge of building maintenance and related systems.
• Ability to lift fifty pounds or more.
• Knowledge of safety precautions and occupational hazards.
• Ability to read and understand written/diagrams of instructions.
• Ability to use basic arithmetic for measurements and units.
