Merrimack School District is hiring a full‑time Building Mechanic.

The ideal candidate will be able to provide students and staff with an attractive, safe, and well‑maintained facilities in which to work and learn.

Key Skills Needed

• Ability to diagnose and fix plumbing issues
• Ability to repair ejector pumps, sewer line blockages, urinals, flushometer, toilets, sinks, water fixtures, water leaks, and ball valves

Responsibilities

• Operate motorized vehicles and equipment
• Operate, install, and maintain heating, plumbing, and electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, and all other equipment
• Ability to operate plumbing equipment; e.g., drain snakes and jetter
• Grounds maintenance, mowing, snow shoveling

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Working knowledge of the methods and tools used in maintenance and repair work
• A Journeyman's License in one of the building trades is desirable
• Valid Driver's License
• Experience preferred

Hours per day: 8 (3pm‑11pm)
Days per week: 5
Days per year: 260
Starting rate: $23.35 – $27.16
