Job summary

Farmington R-VII School District is seeking a maintenance/custodial professional to manage daily cleaning, minor repairs, and seasonal outdoor tasks across district facilities. The role supports night operations and coordinates with building staff to ensure safe, clean environments.

The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma or GED and has custodial or maintenance experience. The role requires physical capability and reliability to handle varied facility tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
• Custodial or maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes and vacuums hallways, classrooms, storage areas, restrooms, stairs and office space.
• Prepares building for night activities and works cooperatively with those who use school facilities.
• Empties trash and garbage containers.
• Maintains building, performing minor and routine painting, minor maintenance to include plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities. Replaces air conditioner filters.
• Maintains building security.
• Maintains confidentiality of information gained through the performance and location of the position.
• Notifies Facilities Manager concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• Cleans and removes snow and debris from sidewalk.
• Mows lawn, trims shrubbery, and cultivates flowers.
• Other duties as assigned
