Job summary

The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) in Gland, Switzerland, seeks a Technical Service Manager to lead the General Services Unit's building technology and safety programs. You will oversee preventive and corrective maintenance, manage Desigo CC systems, coordinate external interventions and handle budgeting and planning for facilities upgrades.

Ideal candidates have a CFC in building sector or equivalent, 5+ years in a similar role, and knowledge of electrical, HVAC and fire

Qualifications

• CFC in the building sector, maintenance agent, HVAC technician or equivalent.
• Certificate of Competency – Safety Officer is an asset.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar position.
• Knowledge of carpentry, electricity, locksmithing, blinds.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team or independently.
• Rigorous, methodical, pragmatic and adaptable to organization pace.
• French language; English is an added asset.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for technical management of building installations.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC, electrical, safety systems.
• Manage building technology with supervision (Desigo CC).
• Coordinate safety, evacuation plans and fire installation maintenance.
• Oversee access control, surveillance and alarm systems.
• Monitor installation conditions and optimize them.
• Supervise external interventions and budget planning for renovations.
• Identify contractors, request offers and manage spare parts stock.
• Provide advice to Chief of Corporate Services on facilities needs.
• Conduct on-call support and assist during absences or important meetings.
