Job summary

Thomson Reuters Enterprise Centre GmbH in Zug, Switzerland, seeks a strategic Chief of Staff to partner with the Head of CoCounsel Legal engineering. You will drive priorities, orchestrate leadership rituals, and ensure delivery of complex programs while managing budgets and headcount.

Ideal candidates excel in executive communication, cross-functional influence, and data-driven decision making across global teams and time zones.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or working closely with software engineering teams.
• Proven track record delivering strategic programs end-to-end across engineering, product and business stakeholders.
• Prior experience in a Chief of Staff, strategy and operations, business operations, consulting or program leadership role.
• Strong business and financial acumen, including budget and resource planning.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and prioritization skills; data-driven and detail-oriented.
• Outstanding written, verbal and visual communication; able to present to senior executives.
• Ability to build relationships and influence at all levels in a matrixed organization.
• Experience with global teams across multiple time zones.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the organization's strategic priorities, annual plan and long-term roadmap; own follow-through from decision to delivery.
• Build and run the operating rhythm for the leadership team: staff meetings, quarterly reviews, planning cycles and leadership forums.
• Research, analyze and synthesize information to frame options, trade-offs and recommendations.
• Own organizational resource planning, headcount and budget management in partnership with Finance.
• Partner with HR and Talent Acquisition on org design, hiring plans and engagement initiatives.
• Lead executive-level materials (strategy documents, board updates, all-hands content).
• Define and track metrics and OKRs; use data to surface delivery and cost gaps.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve planning, resourcing and quality.
• Act as a trusted sounding board for the Head of CoCounsel Legal engineering; manage escalations and dependencies.
• Plan and execute internal and external communications with the communications team.
• Build a broad network of trusted relationships with senior leaders across Thomson Reuters.
• Translate technical complexity into strategic insight for senior leadership.
