Job summary

economiesuisse, the umbrella organization of the Swiss economy, is seeking an Event Manager (60%) in Zurich to plan conferences, media events, and large internal events. You will ensure a modern appearance and develop event concepts with management.

The ideal candidate is communicative, creative, service-oriented, and ready to take responsibility. A university or applied sciences degree, strong MS Office skills, and fluency in German, French and English are required.

• Invite guests, speakers, and moderators and maintain direct contact with business and political personalities.
• Select locations and technology, settings, and catering; ensure smooth execution from A to Z, including pre- and post-event communications.

Your Tasks

• In this varied role, you will organize and design diverse events such as conferences, a large event (Day of the Economy), media events, and larger internal events of the association.
• You will ensure a high-quality and modern appearance of the umbrella organization of the Swiss economy with innovative formats and convincing events.
• You are responsible for the organization of events and the associated communication. You will develop corresponding concepts for content, program, and accompanying communication of events in close collaboration with the association's management.
• You will invite guests, speakers, and moderators and maintain direct contact with personalities from business and politics.
• You will select locations and technology, settings, and catering, and ensure a smooth execution of the events from A to Z, including convincing event communication before, during, and after the events.

Your Profile

For this demanding task, we are looking for a communicative, creative, and service-oriented personality who enjoys taking responsibility. You are innovative and motivated to continuously develop event and live communication. Ideally, you have a university or university of applied sciences degree as well as further training or significant professional experience in the event sector.

You have very good MS Office skills and communicate confidently in German, French, and English. You find it easy to work with specific programs such as planning and event tools as well as address databases. You work independently and efficiently and bring exceptional organizational talent and an interest in politics and economics. You are used to maintaining calm even in hectic situations, a winning demeanor is part of your nature, and you enjoy working in a lively team.
