This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Epic BI Report Developer based in Switzerland.

This is an opportunity for an experienced healthcare technology professional to develop and optimize business intelligence reporting solutions within a large-scale healthcare environment. You will oversee the full reporting lifecycle, from requirements analysis and solution design to testing, deployment, and ongoing support. Your work will support revenue cycle management, clinical workflows, operational performance, and data-driven decision‑making. Collaborating with clinical stakeholders, IT specialists, Epic application teams, and data warehouse professionals, you will translate complex business needs into reliable reporting solutions. You will also contribute to system upgrades, reporting optimization, data integrity, and continuous improvement initiatives. This fully remote, direct‑hire position offers the opportunity to serve as a trusted subject matter expert while helping improve healthcare information systems and organizational performance.

Accountabilities:

As an Epic BI Report Developer, you will lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of reporting solutions while ensuring accuracy, performance, and alignment with clinical and operational requirements.

  • Reporting Development and Maintenance: Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and optimize Epic reporting and business intelligence solutions across revenue cycle, clinical, and operational functions.
  • Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business needs, translate requirements into technical specifications, and deliver effective reporting solutions.
  • Epic Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on Epic reporting capabilities, tools, workflows, and data, providing technical guidance to analysts, end users, and leadership.
  • Project Delivery: Lead and support reporting initiatives throughout the project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, development, testing, implementation, and post‑production support.
  • Performance and Decision Support: Develop and enhance reports that support operational performance, clinical workflows, revenue cycle initiatives, regulatory requirements, and organizational decision‑making.
  • Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Investigate complex reporting, data, and application issues and coordinate resolution with Epic application, technical, and data teams.
  • System Upgrades and Optimization: Support Epic upgrades, enhancements, configuration changes, and optimization initiatives that affect reporting and downstream data.
  • Data Quality and Validation: Verify report accuracy, data integrity, functionality, and performance before deployment.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with data warehouse and analytics teams to ensure appropriate use and interpretation of Epic data.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain technical documentation, reporting specifications, test records, and support procedures while providing guidance to cross‑functional teams.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to standardize reporting processes, improve usability, optimize performance, and strengthen reporting capabilities.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines hands‑on Epic reporting expertise with strong analytical skills, healthcare information systems knowledge, and the ability to manage complex reporting deliverables independently.

  • A bachelor's degree in health, science, business, information technology, informatics, or a related field, or at least five years of relevant experience supporting clinical, ancillary, or business environments in lieu of a degree.
  • Active Epic Cogito certification or accreditation.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical information systems, healthcare informatics, data management, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing, developing, and supporting information systems within a large‑scale healthcare organization.
  • Hands‑on experience with Epic report development, configuration, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and ongoing support.
  • Ability to analyze reporting requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications and practical solutions.
  • Experience supporting reporting projects involving multiple applications, departments, or stakeholder groups.
  • Strong collaboration skills when working with clinical, operational, IT, Epic application, and data warehouse teams.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and deliver reporting solutions independently in a complex, fast‑paced healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Five to seven years of experience in clinical information systems or healthcare IT.
  • Experience supporting major electronic health record (EHR) implementations, configurations, upgrades, or optimization initiatives.
  • Additional Epic certifications, accreditations, or proficiencies in related applications or reporting technologies.
  • Experience developing reports across multiple functional areas, particularly revenue cycle, clinical, and operational reporting.
  • Experience supporting enterprise reporting optimization, application enhancements, upgrades, and data initiatives.
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
Benefits:
  • Annual salary range of $100,000–$135,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
