Job summary

ERM is seeking an experienced Project Manager for Environmental Remediation to lead and coordinate remediation and contaminated land projects in Lausanne or Zurich.

The role requires hands-on project management, strong technical background in hydrogeology or environmental engineering, and ability to work across regulatory frameworks. Fluent German, French and English are expected, with offices in Lausanne or Zurich and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Degree in hydrogeology, geology, environmental engineering, environmental sciences, or related field.
• Several years of experience managing environmental remediation or contaminated land projects; consulting experience is a strong advantage.
• Strong understanding of soil and groundwater contamination, remediation technologies, and investigation methods.
• Proven project management skills including budgeting, scheduling, and reporting.
• Fluent in German, French and English.

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental remediation projects from planning to close-out.
• Lead site investigations, model development, risk assessments, and remediation design.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and field personnel.
• Act as main client contact, ensuring high-quality deliverables and clear communication.
• Prepare technical reports, proposals, budgets, and timelines.
• Ensure compliance with Swiss environmental regulations and standards.
• Support business development through proposals and client presentations.
