Hexagon Robotics, a division of Hexagon, seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the perception team for our state‑of‑the‑art humanoid robot AEON. You will own the roadmap, balance research and product needs, and ensure production‑quality CV/ML pipelines running on real robots.
You will guide the stack from sensors and pipelines to CV/ML algorithms for detection, segmentation, tracking, 6D pose estimation, and mapping, while growing the team and maintaining high engineering standards across the
Hexagon Robotics is a division of Hexagon – a global leader in precision measurement. The division develops humanoid robots for industrial sectors to address labor shortages and accelerate the transition from automation to autonomy. Our first humanoid, AEON, was launched in June 2025 and is already in pilots with five customers.
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our perception team and the perception stack of our state-of-the-art humanoid robot, from cameras and real-time pipelines to the computer vision and ML algorithms that help the robot understand its environment. You will manage and develop an established team of engineers, grow it as our needs expand, and own its roadmap while staying technically involved. You will turn cutting-edge research into production capabilities, own the full lifecycle of the models running on our robots, and drive the quality and reliability of perception at customer sites.
Lead and develop the team: coach and mentor engineers, support their career growth, remove blockers, and hire as the team grows
Own the roadmap and its prioritization: balance product needs, research bets and technical debt, and align priorities, interfaces and timelines with stakeholders across teams
Foster a culture of engineering excellence: keep the technical bar high through design and code reviews, testing and quality practices, while balancing research exploration with delivery commitments
Guide the technical direction of the stack, from sensor selection and pipeline architecture to the computer vision and ML algorithms for object detection, segmentation, tracking, 6D pose estimation and mapping
Bring cutting-edge research into production: identify promising methods and models together with the team and take them from prototype to production
Own the ML lifecycle: data, training, evaluation, deployment, and continuous improvement based on field data
Own the reliability and performance of perception as a product customers depend on, measured against clear quality metrics on real robots
