headcount | recruitment driven by science is seeking an Engineering Lead in Basel to drive CAPEX project delivery and overall engineering performance within a GMP-regulated site.

You will provide strategic and operational leadership across engineering activities, ensure maintenance and equipment reliability, and align EHS priorities with the Local EHS Lead while managing a small but capable team.

Qualifikationen

• Proven leadership in engineering environment.
• Extensive CAPEX project delivery experience in GMP setting.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Bilingual German/English communication required.

Aufgaben

• Lead and develop an engineering team (approx. 3 direct reports) across mechanical, automation, and utilities.
• Adapt team structure and priorities to evolving project and business needs.
• Own and deliver CAPEX projects end-to-end (URS, vendor management, FAT/SAT, commissioning, qualification).
• Manage CAPEX investments in multimillion CHF range (ongoing and upcoming projects).
• Ensure high equipment availability through maintenance and reliability strategies.
• Oversee engineering documentation, deviations, investigations, and CAPAs in GMP environment.
• Take operational responsibility within engineering and maintenance.
• Interface with Manufacturing, QA, MS&T, Supply Chain, Global Engineering, and vendors.
