Zusammenfassung

Liebherr Machines Bulle SA in Switzerland seeks an engineer to participate in the development and testing of diesel and gas engines. You will validate engine components on test benches and support the test engineer, acting as the link between workshop and testing.

You will manage assembly requests, BOMs and data-related instrumentation, while following testing activities and reporting results. A strong background in engine development and measurement technology is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Mechanical training in heavy duty engines or technician training.
• Experience in engine development and combustion engines; workshop/test bench experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of measurement technology and testing.
• Advanced knowledge of post-processing and ERP programs.
• Fluent in French and good English skills.

Aufgaben

• Participate in development and testing of diesel and gas engines and validate engine components on test benches.
• Support test engineer and act as interface between test engineer and workshop for engine assembly and disassembly; create assembly requests with datasets and instrumentation.
• Ensure tasks during engine assembly/disassembly are executed and generate reports.
• Request measurement devices and use instruments such as borescope and torque tools for tightening measurements.
• Own engine bill of materials and track parts running time across engine life.
• Create test programs, follow testing activities on benches, analyze measurements and write reports.
• Describe mechanical failures during tests and contribute to resolutions.
• Involve in logistics to move, store, send or scrap parts.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of workflows, test procedures and wiring/assembly processes.
