Job summary

WIRTH AG is seeking an Employee in Design and Work Preparation (m/f/d) to support production through CAD-driven design and data preparation. The role focuses on creating parts and assemblies in SolidWorks, drafting fixtures, and preparing data packages for manufacturing.

You will collaborate with customers for feasibility and develop technical solutions for sales inquiries. Ideal candidates have EFZ designer training or equivalent, strong CAD skills, and experience with sheet metal processes

Qualifications

• Preferably trained as a designer EFZ or comparable technical qualification with CAD experience.
• Experience in work preparation and in-depth knowledge of sheet metal processing, especially laser cutting, punching, bending, welding, painting, and assembly.
• Good practical 3D CAD skills, preferably with SolidWorks.
• Structured, careful, and precise working style.
• Has a quick grasp and adapts quickly to a new environment.
• Shows a high degree of initiative, is goal-oriented, and capable of teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Production-oriented preparation of customer data while adhering to specified conditions (deadline, time expenditure, costs, ...)
• Designing individual parts and assemblies using SolidWorks
• Designing fixtures and gauges for internal production
• Feasibility checks and optimizations in collaboration with the customer
• Developing technical solutions for customer inquiries for sales
• Creating data packages for production, especially work plans, bills of materials, and NC programs
• Creating production orders in Proalpha
• Point of contact for production and internal support for technical questions
