Michael Page (Switzerland) is seeking a skilled Revenue Accountant to join our Lausanne team. You will manage revenue accounting, month-end close, and AR processes while ensuring ASC 606 compliance and GAAP alignment.

The role involves collaboration with auditors and IT for ERP improvements, with hybrid work options in a multicultural MedTech environment. Ideal candidates have an accounting diploma, experience in international settings, and strong EN/FR language skills.

Qualifications

• Finance or Accounting Diploma required.
• Experience in international environments highly desirable.
• Proven ability in revenue and GL accounting and related record keeping.
• Fluency in English (C1); French a plus.
• US GAAP knowledge is expected.
• ERP experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.

About Our Client

The organisation operates in the Medtech industry in Lausanne.

Job Description

1. Financial Accounting & Month-End Closing

• Manage revenue accounting and month-end closing activities.
• Prepare journal entries for discounts, rebates, returns, deferrals and bad debt provisions.
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition and cut-off under ASC 606.
• Reconcile revenue-related balance sheet accounts.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX and internal procedures.
• Support year-end audits and the GL/Controlling team.

2. Accounts Receivable

• Ensure accurate and timely invoicing, credit notes and customer statements.
• Monitor overdue payments and AR aging.
• Reconcile Accounts Receivable with the General Ledger and bank transactions.
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and unapplied cash.
• Support and act as an escalation point for AR-related issues.

3. Business Partnering & Reporting

• Prepare reports and analysis to support business decisions.
• Maintain the EMEA pricing matrix.
• Monitor payment rejections and help improve related processes.
• Track and analyze key KPIs such as DSO, aging and bad debt.
• Collaborate with other teams to improve AR and revenue processes.

4. Audit & Compliance

• Act as a contact point for internal and external auditors regarding AR and revenue.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with internal policies and SOX requirements.

5. Systems & Projects

• Support billing system improvements and ERP implementations.
• Participate in requirements gathering, process mapping, SOP creation, UAT and team training.
• Support business continuity during system go-live and stabilization.

The Successful Applicant

A successful EMEA GL Revenue Accountant should have:

• Finance or Accounting Diploma
• International Environment experience
• Practical capability in revenue and GL accounting and related financial record keeping.
• Full proficiency in English (C1), French is a plus.
• Plug&Play: autonomous experimented.
• US GAAP norms
• ERP experience on Microsoft Dynamics Business Central AX is a plus
