Zusammenfassung

Lonza is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to support the design, development, and optimization of electrical systems across its automated manufacturing facilities. You will ensure safe, reliable and energy-efficient electrical infrastructure, while complying with industry regulations and company standards.

Responsibilities include designing low-voltage systems, leading drive technology projects, and creating technical specifications and schematics for new installations and upgrades.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience designing and implementing electrical systems in industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution, motor control, drives, switchgear and UPS.
• Experience managing projects from concept to commissioning and support.
• Familiarity with regulated industries (pharma/biotech) is advantageous.
• Fluent German and English are required.

Aufgaben

• Design, specify, and implement low-voltage electrical systems for industrial environments.
• Lead projects involving drive technology, VFDs, switchgear, UPS and energy systems.
• Develop electrical schematics, design docs, and installation specifications.
• Provide technical guidance through feasibility, design, commissioning and handover.
• Ensure compliance with NIN, ATEX, VKF and electrical safety standards.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance and project teams to optimize reliability and energy use.
