Job summary

Iotagroup in Basel seeks a mid-level High Voltage Design Engineer to support electrical infrastructure projects in Switzerland. You will join an engineering team working on studies and design for electricity network operators.

The role focuses on HV design across substations, cables, or overhead lines, with collaboration across disciplines and delivery of technical documentation. Fluency in German and English is required; French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in high-voltage engineering studies and design.
• Expertise in HV substations, HV cables or overhead lines.
• Experience in engineering consultancy, network operator or EPC contractor.
• Experience on Swissgrid or another transmission system operator is an advantage.
• Proficiency in German and English; French is an advantage.
• Medior level experience.

• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and coordinate technical interfaces.


• Participate in design reviews and ensure the quality of deliverables.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.


• Experience in high-voltage engineering studies and design.


• Expertise in at least one of the following areas: HV substations, HV cables or overhead lines.


• Experience within an engineering consultancy, a network operator or an EPC contractor.


• Experience on projects for Swissgrid or another transmission system operator would be an advantage.


• Professional proficiency in German and English is required; French would be an advantage.
