Job summary

IOTA Group is seeking a mid-level Electrical Design Engineer for High Voltage projects in Switzerland. You will join a team designing HV infrastructure such as substations, cables and overhead lines, and you will prepare documentation, studies and design reports for utility clients.

The role requires a degree in electrical engineering, HV design experience, and English fluency, with French a plus. MEDIOR level, duration 6–12 months, based in Switzerland with on-site collaboration.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in high-voltage engineering studies and design.
• Expertise in HV substations, HV cables or overhead lines.
• Experience in an engineering consultancy, a network operator or an EPC contractor.
• Swissgrid or transmission system operator experience is a plus.
• English required; French would be advantageous.

Context:

To support electrical infrastructure projects in Switzerland, we are looking for a mid-level High Voltage Design Engineer. You will join an engineering team working on studies and design for electricity network operators.

Responsibilities

• Carry out engineering studies and contribute to the design of HV infrastructure: substations, cables or overhead lines, depending on your area of expertise.
• Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, drawings, calculations and design reports.
• Analyse client requirements and propose suitable technical solutions.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and coordinate technical interfaces.
• Participate in design reviews and ensure the quality of deliverables.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience in high-voltage engineering studies and design.
• Expertise in at least one of the following areas: HV substations, HV cables or overhead lines.
• Experience within an engineering consultancy, a network operator or an EPC contractor.
