Aristo Group in Switzerland seeks an EI&C Maintenance Engineer to ensure reliable operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.

You will interface with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Automation to maximize equipment availability, process reliability, and audit readiness, while supporting CAPA and lifecycle management.

Qualifikationen

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or Process Control (HF, BSc, or MSc).
  • Several years of experience in industrial maintenance, automation, or process manufacturing.
  • Fluent German; English proficiency is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of GMP-regulated operations.

Aufgaben

  • Maintain and support electrical, instrumentation, automation, and process control systems across manufacturing and utility facilities.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
  • Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Support CAPA, change controls, deviations, and investigations.
  • Ensure documentation is complete, audit-ready, and compliant with GMP.

Jobbeschreibung

  • The EI&C Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment. The role serves as the key interface between Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Automation teams to ensure equipment availability, process reliability, compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Technical Support
  • Maintain and support electrical, instrumentation, automation, and process control systems across manufacturing and utility facilities.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical, instrumentation, and automation-related issues to minimize downtime.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Support root cause investigations and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are executed in compliance with GMP, safety, and quality requirements.
Automation & Control Systems
  • Support and maintain DeltaV Distributed Control System (DCS) and related automation infrastructure.
  • Participate in configuration reviews, troubleshooting, testing, and implementation of automation changes.
  • Collaborate with Automation Engineers and Process Engineers to optimize control strategies and plant performance.
  • Support system upgrades, lifecycle management, and validation activities.
MES & Digital Systems
  • Provide support for Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), preferably Syncade.
  • Assist in troubleshooting production execution and batch record issues.
  • Support integration activities between automation systems, MES, and business systems when required.
Planning & Coordination
  • Receive, assess, and understand maintenance and technical requests from Operations.
  • Prioritize work orders based on plant impact, safety, quality, and production requirements.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with production schedules to minimize operational disruption.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance activities in SAP.
Compliance & GMP
  • Operate and make decisions in accordance with GMP regulations and internal quality standards.
  • Support change controls, deviations, investigations, risk assessments, and qualification activities.
  • Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, maintenance processes, and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to reliability engineering initiatives and asset management strategies.
  • Participate in cross-functional improvement projects and commissioning activities.
Required Qualifications
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Process Control Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline (HF, BSc, or MSc).
  • Several years of experience in industrial maintenance, automation, or process manufacturing environments.
  • Fluent German language skills; English proficiency is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of GMP-regulated operations.
Required Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering and industrial instrumentation.
  • Practical experience with DeltaV Process Control Systems (PLS/DCS).
  • Basic knowledge of instrumentation and electrical systems.
  • SAP maintenance module knowledge is advantageous.
  • Experience with MES systems, preferably Syncade, is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting methodologies and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Strong ability to understand operational needs and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Excellent prioritization and workload management skills.
  • High level of resilience and ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Preferred Industry Experience
  • Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries.
  • Experience working in GMP and validated environments.
  • Exposure to commissioning, qualification, and operational readiness activities is beneficial.
  • This profile is well aligned with a Lonza Biologics manufacturing site supporting production operations, DeltaV automation systems, GMP compliance, and maintenance excellence.
