Bank Vontobel invites ambitious students to join its 6‑month Early Careers Internship in Zurich, starting 1 March 2027. You will rotate through Legal & Compliance Advisory teams to understand Swiss and international financial market law and assist in reviews of client docs and marketing materials.

You'll monitor FINMA and EU developments, collaborate across teams, and gain mentorship from experienced lawyers and compliance officers, with a paid internship and access to NextGen networking

Competenze

• You are enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program, or graduated within the last two years, in finance, technology or a related field.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken. German, French or Italian is a plus.
• You hold a valid work permit for the location you are applying to.
• You are curious, proactive and can take initiative to solve problems.

Over 6 months, starting on 1 March 2027, you'll gain hands‑on experience and insights into the financial industry while building lasting connections in a globally recognized investment firm.

What would your role be?

• Rotate through the Legal & Compliance Advisory teams in Zurich, spending around two months each with the teams supporting Private and Institutional Clients, Investments, and Structured Solutions and Transaction Banking, and gain a broad view of how a Swiss bank manages legal and regulatory risk.
• Support the advisory teams in answering legal and regulatory questions from the business, including research on Swiss and international financial market law under the supervision of experienced lawyers and compliance officers.
• Assist in reviewing client and product documentation, contracts and marketing materials to ensure they comply with legal, regulatory and internal requirements.
• Contribute to the assessment of new products, services and business initiatives, including cross-border activities across our locations in Europe, the US, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
• Monitor regulatory developments from FINMA, the EU and other relevant authorities, and assist in reviewing their impact on the business.
• Support key initiatives within Legal & Compliance Advisory, including the use of AI tools to make advisory and review processes more efficient.
• Collaborate across teams to tackle challenging business problems.
• Learn from experts in Legal & Compliance through mentorship.

What you need to apply

• You are enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program, or graduated within the last two years, in finance, technology or a related field.
