Vontobel Asset Management, Inc. offers an Early Careers Internship Program in Legal & Compliance Advisory in Zurich.

The 6‑month program begins 1 March 2027 and includes rotations across key teams to build a broad view of Swiss bank regulatory risk and advisory practices. You will research Swiss and international financial market law, review documentation for compliance, and participate in cross-border initiatives while learning from experienced lawyers and compliance officers.

Formación

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in finance, technology or a related field.
• Fluent in English; German, French or Italian is a plus.
• Valid work permit for the location.
• Interest in the financial sector.

Responsabilidades

• Rotate through the Legal & Compliance Advisory teams in Zurich, spending ~2 months with each team (Private & Institutional Clients, Investments, Structured Solutions and Transaction Banking).
• Support advisory teams in answering legal and regulatory questions, including Swiss and international financial market law research under supervision.
• Assist in reviewing client/product documentation to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and internal requirements.
• Contribute to assessing new products, services and business initiatives, including cross-border activities across Europe, the US, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
• Monitor regulatory developments from FINMA, the EU and other authorities and review their impact on the business.
• Support initiatives within Legal & Compliance Advisory, including use of AI tools to improve processes.
• Collaborate across teams to tackle challenging business problems.
• Learn from experts in Legal & Compliance through mentorship.

Over 6 months, starting on 1 March 2027, you’ll gain hands‑on experience and insights into the financial industry while building lasting connections in a globally recognized investment firm.

What would your role be?

As part of the internship, you will:

• Rotate through the Legal & Compliance Advisory teams in Zurich, spending around two months each with the teams supporting Private and Institutional Clients, Investments, and Structured Solutions and Transaction Banking, and gain a broad view of how a Swiss bank manages legal and regulatory risk.
• Support the advisory teams in answering legal and regulatory questions from the business, including research on Swiss and international financial market law under the supervision of experienced lawyers and compliance officers.
• Assist in reviewing client and product documentation, contracts and marketing materials to ensure they comply with legal, regulatory and internal requirements.
• Contribute to the assessment of new products, services and business initiatives, including cross-border activities across our locations in Europe, the US, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
• Monitor regulatory developments from FINMA, the EU and other relevant authorities, and assist in reviewing their impact on the business.
• Support key initiatives within Legal & Compliance Advisory, including the use of AI tools to make advisory and review processes more efficient.
• Collaborate across teams to tackle challenging business problems.
• Learn from experts in Legal & Compliance through mentorship.

What you need to apply

• You are enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program, or graduated within the last two years, in finance, technology or a related field.
• You have a genuine interest in the financial sector.
• You are fluent in English, written and spoken. German, French or Italian is a plus.
• You hold a valid work permit for the location you are applying to.
