Vontobel Asset Management, Inc. invites you to join its Early Careers Internship Program in Legal & Compliance Advisory.

The 6-month internship, starting on 1 March 2027 in Zurich, offers hands-on experience with the bank’s regulatory risk oversight and advisory activities. You will rotate through Legal & Compliance Advisory teams, support in responding to regulatory questions, review documentation, and help assess new products.

Formación

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program, or graduated within the last two years.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); German/French/Italian a plus.
• Hold a valid work permit for the location you are applying to.

Responsabilidades

• Rotate through Zurich-based Legal & Compliance Advisory teams, ~2 months each, across Private/Institutional Clients, Investments, Structured Solutions and Transaction Banking.
• Support advisory teams by researching Swiss and international financial market law under supervision.
• Review client/product documentation to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and internal requirements.
• Assess new products/services and cross-border activities across Europe, the US, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
• Monitor FINMA, EU and other regulatory developments and review impact on the business.
• Assist in using AI tools to improve advisory and review processes.
• Collaborate across teams to tackle challenging business problems.
• Learn from experts in Legal & Compliance through mentorship.

Over 6 months, starting on 1 March 2027, you’ll gain hands‑on experience and insights into the financial industry while building lasting connections in a globally recognized investment firm.

What would your role be?

As part of the internship, you will:

• Rotate through the Legal & Compliance Advisory teams in Zurich, spending around two months each with the teams supporting Private and Institutional Clients, Investments, and Structured Solutions and Transaction Banking, and gain a broad view of how a Swiss bank manages legal and regulatory risk.
• Support the advisory teams in answering legal and regulatory questions from the business, including research on Swiss and international financial market law under the supervision of experienced lawyers and compliance officers.
• Assist in reviewing client and product documentation, contracts and marketing materials to ensure they comply with legal, regulatory and internal requirements.
• Contribute to the assessment of new products, services and business initiatives, including cross-border activities across our locations in Europe, the US, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
• Monitor regulatory developments from FINMA, the EU and other relevant authorities, and assist in reviewing their impact on the business.
• Support key initiatives within Legal & Compliance Advisory, including the use of AI tools to make advisory and review processes more efficient.
• Collaborate across teams to tackle challenging business problems.
• Learn from experts in Legal & Compliance through mentorship.

What you need to apply
