Range $450,761–$92,279 annually with Employer‑paid retirement, dependent upon previous experience

Terms of Employment: 9 Months (209/205 Days) | FLSA STATUS: EXEMPT | This is a salaried position assigned to the Licensed Employee Salary Schedule.
This person plans, coordinates, implements, and evaluates the health services program of assigned schools. Responsibilities include nursing services, health and nursing education, and environmental health and safety. The person provides direction, supervision, and evaluation to classified nurses and clinical aides, consults with the Chief Nurse, and creates an educational environment that encourages effective student learning and supports school and district programs. The person adheres to the LCSD Professional Standards for Licensed Employees and reports directly to the School District Chief Nurse and Director of Special Services.
Education and Training: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
Licenses and Certifications: Must possess a valid license issued by the Nevada State Board of Nursing to practice as a registered nurse, and certification by the Nevada State Board of Education to work as a certified school nurse in Nevada. Must possess a valid Nevada Driver's License and be able to operate a district vehicle. Must possess current or be able to acquire a Basic Life Support Certification. When applying for a certificated licensed position, candidates must meet the minimum qualifications listed on the appropriate position vacancy announcement.
Strength, dexterity, coordination, and vision to use keyboard and video display terminal for prolonged periods. Strength and stamina to bend, stoop, sit, stand, and perform physical activity for extended periods of time. Dexterity and coordination to handle files and single pieces of paper; occasional lifting of files, stacks of paper or reports, references, student work, and other materials. Some reaching for items above and below waist and head level. Some reaching, bending, squatting, and stooping to access files, student work, and other items is necessary. Manual dexterity and cognitive ability to operate a personal computer and other educational technology (LCD projector, SmartBoard, iPads/Tablets) to enhance student learning. Involves hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone. Light lifting (up to 25 pounds) may frequently be required. Heavy lifting (25 pounds or more) may occasionally be required.
