We are looking for an experienced Digital Payload Systems Engineer to join an international R&D team based in Lausanne, Switzerland, working on the development of next‑generation satellite communication systems.
The position is particularly focused on the digital/back‑end architecture of telecommunications payloads, from system definition and requirements downflow to integration, validation and in‑orbit activities.
You will contribute to the definition and development of advanced satellite communication payload architectures, with a particular focus on digital and regenerative payload technologies.
Your background
We are looking for an engineer with a strong background in satellite telecommunications and digital payload systems, ideally with 8+ years of relevant experience.
You should have experience in several of the following areas:
A Master's degree or PhD in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Space Systems or a related discipline is expected.
You will join an international and multidisciplinary R&D environment in Lausanne, working closely with specialists across hardware, software, digital communications and satellite systems.
The role offers significant involvement in technical decisions and next‑generation SatCom developments, from early architecture phases through validation and deployment.
