Job summary

ITech Consult AG is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with strong Java and Kotlin skills to design, develop and scale microservices and self-contained systems for high-load, business-critical web applications. You will contribute to the software architecture while working in SAFe and Scrum teams and coordinating via Jira.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in Java, Kotlin, microservices, and agile methodologies, with bonus experience in Linux and Oracle databases.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of verifiable experience with microservices and self-contained systems.
• Experience as a software developer for business-critical applications with load/availability requirements.
• Experience in software architecture of internet-based services.
• At least 8 years of experience with Java, Kotlin, and Jira.
• Hands-on experience in SAFe and Scrum environments.
• Nice to have: 3+ years with Linux and Oracle databases.

Project

For a challenging software development project, we are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with in-depth knowledge of Java, Kotlin, and microservices. The focus is on the development and architecture of business-critical, web-based applications with high demands on load handling and availability. You have many years of experience with self-contained systems and are comfortable working in agile development environments following SAFe and Scrum.

Responsibilities

• Developing and enhancing business-critical applications using Java and Kotlin.
• Designing and implementing microservices and self-contained systems.
• Contributing to the software architecture of web-based services with high load and availability requirements.
• Ensuring scalability, stability, and software quality during application development.
• Collaborating in agile development teams following SAFe and Scrum, and using Jira for task tracking.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of verifiable experience with microservices and self-contained systems
• Demonstrable experience as a software developer in the field of business-critical applications with load and availability requirements.
• Experience in the software architecture of internet-based services.
• At least 8 years of experience each with Java, Kotlin, and Jira.
• Practical experience in agile development environments using SAFe and Scrum.
• A plus: at least 3 years of experience with Linux and Oracle databases.
