Pascal Dietrich Consulting AG's Bern-based client is strengthening sovereign cyber resilience by building secure, open, future-ready infrastructure. You will design, deploy, and operate groupware, email hosting, and messaging services on Linux-based systems and Kubernetes in an on-prem private cloud.

You bring a degree in CS or related field, hands-on Linux admin, and experience with Docker, Kubernetes, LDAP, and IaC.

Qualificações

• Experienced with Linux system administration and open-source infrastructure.
• Production experience running self-hosted email, groupware, or collaboration platforms.
• Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, IMAP, HTTP, TLS).
• Familiarity with LDAP, OIDC, SAML for identity management is a plus.
• Automation mindset with IaC, CI/CD, and scripting (Python, Bash, Terraform, Ansible).

Responsabilidades

• Design, deploy, and operate secure open-source groupware and collaboration services.
• Build and maintain Linux-based infrastructure in an on-prem private cloud.

• Automate provisioning and deployment using Terraform and Ansible.

Our client’s Bern-based Cyber Defense team is strengthening Switzerland’s sovereign cyber resilience by building advanced, open and future-ready capabilities for protecting critical national infrastructure. Within a highly skilled engineering environment, you will work with Linux-based systems, Kubernetes, and modern DevOps technologies, with a particular focus on groupware, email hosting, and messaging services.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and operate secure, open-source groupware and collaboration services, including email hosting, file sharing, messaging, and online document editing
• Build and maintain Linux-based infrastructure and containerized applications in an on-premise private cloud
• Integrate and operate identity and directory services, including LDAP, OIDC, and authentication mechanisms
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment using tools such as Terraform and Ansible
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deploy applications in Kubernetes environments
• Operate supporting services such as databases, storage, monitoring, logging, backup, and recovery
• Troubleshoot complex issues across application, container, operating system, and networking layers
• Continuously improve service reliability, security, automation, and operational efficiency

Your Profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux system administration and open-source infrastructure
• Experience operating self-hosted email, groupware, or collaboration platforms in production environments
• Solid understanding of networking and communication protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, IMAP, HTTP, and TLS
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code, automation, CI/CD, and scripting (Terraform, Ansible, Python, Bash, or similar)
• Familiarity with directory services and identity management (LDAP, OIDC, SAML) is an advantage
• Strong problem-solving skills, an ownership mindset, and the willingness to investigate issues beyond high-level abstractions
• Swiss citizenship is required
