Job summary

Universität Basel seeks a Research Assistant/Technician for the Developmental Genetics group to study embryonic development using mouse models and organoid systems.

The candidate should have an apprenticeship as a molecular biology laboratory technician or a BSc/MSc in molecular biology, with hands-on experience in mouse work, transcriptome analysis, immunofluorescence and protein biochemistry. English proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Completed apprenticeship as molecular biology laboratory technician or a BSc/MSc in molecular biology.
• Prior experience with mouse models and/or transcriptome analysis (immunofluorescence, cells, embryo sections, protein biochemistry) is advantageous.
• Certification for animal experimentation (LTK1 or FELASA) is preferred.
• Good knowledge of English as working language.

Responsibilities

• Join the Developmental Genetics Research Group and contribute to study of embryonic development.
• Investigate gene regulatory networks using mouse models, human disease models and organoid systems.
• Apply state-of-the-art genetic and molecular technologies, genome-wide approaches and 3D confocal imaging.
