Requirements include a BSc or equivalent in biology/biochemistry/pharmacology, 3–5 years lab experience, and English proficiency; knowledge of French or German is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• 3-5 years proven work experience with basic biochemical and molecular biology techniques.
• Diploma (CFC / BSc or equivalent) in Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology or a related field.
• Experience with in vivo model (mice, rats). FELASA accreditation category B (EU functions A, C, D) or Swiss equivalent i.e. Module1/LTK1 needed.
• Strong sense of organization, precision, and reliability.
• Good written and spoken English skills. Knowledge of French or German is an advantage

Laboratory Technician Position in Pharmacology

This is a one-year fixed-term contract which may be extended to 3 years (funded by SNF)

Lab Description : The Pharmacology Unit of the Faculty of Science and Medicine at the University of Fribourg investigates molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying metabolic and redox signaling in health and disease. The Zuhra Group focuses on the biology of endogenously produced cyanide, exploring its role as a novel gasotransmitter and its impact on cellular metabolism and cell signaling ( www.unifr.ch/med/en/research/group/zuhra/ ).
