You will review drawings, calculations, and specifications, ensuring compliance with standards and delivery timelines.

In collaboration with site teams, designers, subcontractors, and procurement, you will drive design schedules, mitigate risks, and support change management to execute the project

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in HVAC and plumbing design/management.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and major MEP systems.
• Ability to coordinate designers, site teams and subcontractors.
• Experience reviewing drawings, specs and project docs.
• Good understanding of project change management.

For our major project in Geneva, we are looking for a: DESIGN MANAGER MECHANICAL

Key Responsibilities

• Support the design, coordination and execution of HVAC and plumbing systems throughout the project, ensuring compliance with project requirements, applicable standards and quality expectations.
• Manage the technical development of the relevant MEP scope, including the review of drawings, calculations, specifications and technical documentation, while supporting the preparation and monitoring of design and construction schedules.
• Provide day-to-day technical support to site activities, coordinating with the construction team, designers, subcontractors and other project stakeholders to ensure the timely resolution of technical issues and the proper implementation of design solutions.
• Support the management of business continuity requirements by developing technical solutions and interventions aimed at minimising disruption to ongoing operations.
• Contribute to the identification and mitigation of technical and delivery risks, supporting the Contract and Procurement functions in the evaluation of variations, scope changes, cost impacts, claims and subcontractor proposals.
• Participate in procurement activities and technical evaluations, providing regular reporting to the Head of Design and supporting Project Management with accurate information on progress, risks and key technical matters.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the design or management of HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and major MEP systems.
• Ability to coordinate designers, site teams, and subcontractors.
• Experience reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Good understanding of contractual aspects and project change management.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit/BIM.
• Good command of at least two of the following languages: English, Italian, and French.
