Job summary

SeitzValve in Wetzikon, Switzerland seeks a Design Engineer (m/f/d) to design and develop high-pressure valves and related components. You will create 3D models, detailed drawings, and documentation while ensuring compliance with performance, safety, and regulatory standards.

You will collaborate with R&D, Production and Quality, translate customer needs into manufacturable products, participate in design reviews, support prototypes and testing, and contribute to continuous product improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Experience with pressure-containing components, fluid systems, or valve technology is advantageous.
• Familiarity with standards, tolerance calculations, and basic simulations is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of high-pressure valves and related components
• Creation and optimization of mechanical designs
• Development of 3D models and technical drawings
• Ensuring compliance with performance, safety, and regulatory requirements
• Close collaboration with R&D, Production, and Quality
• Translating customer and market requirements into manufacturable products
• Participation in design and project meetings
• Assistance with prototype construction and validation testing
• Continuous improvement of existing products and solutions
• Documentation of design work in accordance with internal standards
• Assistance with technical clarifications and failure analyses
• Point of contact for technical questions from internal and external stakeholders
