EPM Scientific in Basel-Stadt, Switzerland is seeking a Design & Development Engineer to join its R&D team and help develop implantable medical devices from concept through design, testing, and launch.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Commercial, create engineering drawings and documentation, and contribute to risk management and design controls in a regulated environment.

Qualifikationen

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical background.
• Experience in product development within medical devices, dental technology, or another regulated industry.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar.
• Knowledge of design controls, DHF documentation, verification & validation, and risk management.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluent German and English.

Aufgaben

• Developing new medical device products from concept through design, testing, validation, and launch.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Commercial functions.
• Creating technical documentation, engineering drawings, and development records.
• Supporting risk management, verification & validation activities, and product industrialisation.
• Conducting design optimisation, technical analysis, and product performance evaluations.
