Zusammenfassung

Swisscom is seeking a data engineer to own data products within Data Mesh principles, designing and operating scalable pipelines across diverse data sources. You’ll analyze data for reporting, analytics, and AI applications, while ensuring security and maintainability.

You will contribute to architecture decisions and provide senior support to operations. We value collaboration across disciplines, curiosity for modern tech, and fluency in German with good English.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Computer Science or comparable qualification.
• Several years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics, or AI Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of cloud and data platforms, ideally AWS.
• Experience building and operating data platforms and scalable pipelines.
• Familiarity with software engineering principles and automated build/test/deploy.
• Analytical, structured, solution-oriented mindset with problem-solving skills.
• Collaborative across disciplines with stakeholders.
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for modern technologies and ways of working.
• Fluent German and good English language skills.

• Take ownership of data products in line with Data Mesh principles.
• Develop and operate scalable data pipelines and integrate diverse data sources.
• Analyze, model, and process structured and unstructured data for reporting, analytics, and AI applications.
• Ensure solution quality, security, data privacy, and maintainability.
• Contribute to architecture, design, and implementation decisions while improving standards and processes.
• Provide second- and third-level support and take responsibility for operational tasks.
