Job summary

Crypto Finance Group is seeking a Data/Analytics Engineer to design and maintain robust ELT pipelines in Python and build scalable data models for finance and operations. You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable data solutions and dashboards (Looker/Looker Studio).

Hybrid role based in Zurich, offering work on an evolving data platform at the intersection of blockchain and fintech. English proficiency required; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering.
• Advanced SQL skills are mandatory (window functions, joins, query optimization).
• Strong Python proficiency for API data extraction and dataset manipulation (Polars or Pandas).
• Solid cloud knowledge with BigQuery, Snowflake or Redshift.
• Experience with code-based orchestrators (Dagster, Airflow, or Prefect).
• Experience with transformation tools (SQLMesh or dbt).
• Proactive, business-savvy, hands-on with delivering actionable data solutions.
• Strong communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Professional proficiency in English (German a plus).

Responsibilities

• Build & Ingest: Design, build, and maintain ELT pipelines using Python to ingest data into Google BigQuery.
• Model & Transform: Develop scalable data models and complex SQL queries for diverse business use cases.
• Orchestrate: Manage the data warehouse using Dagster and SQLMesh.
• Deliver Insights: Translate requirements into data solutions and power Looker dashboards and reports.
• Production Standards: Maintain data infrastructure as code in Git with PRs and reviews.
