Amazon Data Services Switzerland GmbH seeks a DCEO Chief Engineer to ensure peak performance of electrical, mechanical, and life-safety systems in its data centers. You will lead maintenance, drive projects from conception to completion, and manage cross‑functional teams including engineers and vendors to maintain 99.999% uptime.

You will mentor engineers, run preventative maintenance, and coordinate with site facilities managers while delivering on cost and resiliency goals.

Qualifikationen

• Good verbal and written English communication skills.
• Engineering degree or trades qualification with hands-on electrical/mechanical expertise.
• Experience with data center electrical/mechanical systems and controls.

Aufgaben

• Oversee day-to-day mechanical and electrical equipment operations in data centers.
• Lead design and build-out of new facilities and improve site reliability.
• Escalation point for facilities issues; work OT to support stability.
• Perform root-cause analysis of equipment failures and document findings.
• Train and mentor Engineering Operations Technicians and vendor staff.
• Ensure safety procedures and change management processes are followed.
• Provide weekly metric reports on facility availability.
