Ellis Recruitment Group is seeking a hands-on Data Manager to lead automation efforts for data platforms in Zurich. The role blends data engineering insight with QA automation, requiring practical, end-to-end testing of data pipelines and governance concepts.

You will design and maintain regression tests, implement CI/CD integration, and collaborate with data engineers and business teams to ensure data quality and reliable delivery. This position involves 2-3 days onsite in Zurich.

Qualifikationen

• Strong understanding of data platforms (data warehouses/lakes) and governance concepts.
• Hands-on experience building test automation frameworks for regression testing.
• Experience with automated test design and data-centric test execution.
• Proficiency in Python or Java or similar for test automation.
• Experience querying large datasets with SQL to validate data accuracy.

Aufgaben

• Design, build, and maintain an automation framework for regression testing of data platforms and pipelines
• Develop automated test cases covering data ingestion, transformation, validation, and reconciliation
• Execute and maintain automated test execution cycles, integrating with CI/CD pipelines
• Identify gaps in existing test coverage and proactively design automated checks
• Collaborate with data engineers, QA, and business teams to translate data flows into test scenarios
• Troubleshoot test failures, distinguishing defects from environment issues
• Document test frameworks, test cases, and results clearly
• Continuously improve automation coverage, execution speed, and reliability
