Job summary

Tether is launching a new credit vertical focused on short-term liquidity and credit facilities for fintechs and financial institutions. We seek a Credit Lead to build the credit function from scratch, hands-on with underwriting, structuring, and policy development.

The role requires 10+ years in credit, fintech experience, and a track record of establishing risk frameworks. Crypto knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant credit experience.
• Strong experience in credit underwriting and structuring.
• Experience in fintech & payments is mandatory.
• Background in institutional lending, private credit, venture debt or similar.
• Experience establishing or developing credit policies and risk frameworks.
• Crypto/digital assets experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and structure credit facilities, including revolving facilities and liquidity facilities.
• Analyse financial statements, cash flows, liquidity, and repayment capacity.
• Determine lending amounts, terms, covenants, and security.
• Develop credit policies, underwriting guidelines, templates, and concentration limits.
• Monitor credit risk and borrower performance and establish risk-monitoring processes.
• Support the development and scaling of the new credit business.
