Napapijri is looking for an exceptional Creative Senior Designer Menswear to join our team based in Stabio, Switzerland.

Overview — The Role

Reporting to the Design Director, the Creative Senior Designer Menswear will be responsible for leading the design of Men’s premium apparel collections within our Lifestyle category. In this role, you will drive creative direction, bringing innovation and commercial awareness to the design process. You will play a key role in shaping the future of Napapijri’s urban outdoor aesthetic, ensuring brand consistency and evolving successful styles while introducing fresh concepts.

Collaborating with the design and product development teams, you will play a crucial role in introducing new ideas and enhancing the existing range. A passion for fashion, commercial awareness, innovation, influence, and a team-oriented mindset are essential. Strong communication skills, a solution-oriented mindset, and collaborative problem-solving abilities are vital. Curiosity and a drive to discover new methods will motivate you. You must consistently demonstrate proficiency in processes through best practices and effective communication of ideas.

Responsibilities

• Represent design in Sales, Merchandising & Marketing meetings and work closely with Merchandising & Development teams.
• Creatively drive men’s product strategy.
• Research Lifestyle and Outdoor trends and staying up to date on contemporary styles.
• Work with Merchandising team to manage SKU plan, considering commercial needs, key price points, business opportunities and a ‘good, better, best’ philosophy.
• Design new, trend driven product as well as evolving successful items from the past.
• Consider margin & price points to meet costing goals.
• Research trends, fits, textiles and new technology.
• Inspire & mentor the in-house creative team with a sharing approach to ideas and ‘best practice’ solutions.
• Work closely with Design Director to build seasonal concepts and color strategy.
• Have a strong knowledge of pricing & fit and attend regular fitting & costing meetings.
• Sketch new seasonal designs and create perfect HO.

Qualifications

• BA in Fashion Design.
• 5+ years of experience working as a Designer with 1-2 years of experience as a Senior.
• Language skills: Fluent in English.
• Software knowledge: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop.
• Strong knowledge of men's knit, woven and outerwear product is essential.
• Strong product development knowledge.
• Ability to build strong relationships with direct colleagues and across departments.
• Ability to travel internationally, if required.
• Able to find best solutions to problems and inspire new working methods.
• Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Advanced organization skills
• Advanced knowledge of fit and construction expertise.
• Excellent attention to details.
• A proactive, self-starter with strong communication skills.
• Fully capable to manage responsibilities & tasks without direction.
• Must be flexible and adaptive to change.
• Ability to manage different projects simultaneously.
