Job summary

Geneva Commodities seeks a Data & AI Specialist to transform commercial, operational, and financial data into actionable insights and AI-powered solutions. The role supports Trading, Finance, and Operations, blending commodity trading analytics with advanced data science.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s in a quantitative field, strong Python/SQL skills, and experience with ML/AI applications using market data. English and French fluency are required for collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience or strong interest in physical commodity trading, financial markets, or commercial analytics.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience with data analysis, statistical modelling, and machine learning techniques.
• Experience developing predictive models or AI applications using financial, commercial, or market data.
• Practical knowledge of Generative AI technologies, LLMs, or ML applications.
• Ability to translate business needs into analytical solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical mindset.
• Fluency in English and French.

Responsibilities

• Analyze physical commodity trading activities and extract key commercial information from trading documents.
• Develop dashboards and analytical tools to monitor profitability, performance, and KPIs.
• Design and implement ML models for predictive analytics, forecasting, anomaly detection, and decision support.
• Prepare and structure data assets for analytics and AI applications, ensuring data quality.
• Monitor AI/ML developments and contribute to the company’s AI roadmap.
