Job summary

VAT Vakuumventile AG in Haag, Switzerland, seeks a skilled CNC Technician - Milling to independently set up and operate 3-axis and 5-axis milling machines, producing precision components to the highest standards.

You will modify CNC programs with Siemens controls, inspect parts for dimensional accuracy, and contribute to continuous process improvements; shift work is required and a strong quality mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or technical training in polymechanics/CNC machining.
• Several years of CNC milling experience is advantageous.
• Ability to read technical drawings accurately.
• Experience with CNC control systems, preferably Siemens.

Responsibilities

• Independently set up, operate, and monitor CNC milling machines (3-axis and 5-axis).
• Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Siemens control systems.
• Manufacture individual parts as well as small and medium production batches based on technical drawings.
• Select, prepare, and change cutting tools.
• Monitor manufacturing processes and ensure dimensional and geometric accuracy.
• Conduct quality inspections using standard measuring equipment.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and address minor machine malfunctions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and delivery standards.
• Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and workflows.
