Zusammenfassung

CERN in Geneva invites a Software Developer to contribute to the upgrade of the CMS data acquisition system for the High-Luminosity LHC. You will design and develop software for FPGA-based electronics, enabling configuration, control and monitoring of the TCDS.

You will work with electronics engineers and physicists, gather requirements, document details, and assist in system tests toward deployment in 2028.

Qualifikationen

• Experience designing and developing Python/C++ software with REST interfaces.
• Experience with CI/CD and hardware interaction.
• Familiarity with firmware HDL languages (VHDL/Verilog) is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Develop software to configure, control, and monitor TCDS components, interfacing with hardware.
• Set up and operate DAQ test systems to validate design.
• Maintain software repositories and CI/CD infrastructure.
• Contribute to Phase-2 DAQ installation and commissioning (2027–2029).
• Support CMS community during commissioning of sub-detector data acquisition components.
