Zusammenfassung

VAT Vakuumventile AG in Haag, Switzerland, is seeking a skilled measurement technician to join our quality team. You will develop and optimize offline measurement programs, perform 3D measurements, and support deviations and improvements in production.

You will advise internal departments on measurement matters, promote knowledge transfer, and contribute to new product inspections and SPC analysis using Q-DAS. Fluency in German and good English preferred, with willingness to work in two shifts.

Qualifikationen

  • Basic technical training, ideally with experience in machining technology.
  • Very good German skills and preferably good English skills.
  • Several years of professional experience in coordinate measuring technology, CMM programming, and the use of optical inspection systems, ideally Mitutoyo systems.
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings with attention to geometrical and positional tolerances.
  • Knowledge of materials, particularly aluminium and stainless steel.
  • Strong mathematics and descriptive geometry skills with good spatial awareness.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and quality requirements.
  • Independence and ability to provide technical support to CMM operators.
  • Teamwork and collaboration with other departments.
  • Excellent communication skills and a confident technical demeanor.
  • ISO GPS training is an advantage.
  • Experience with Model-Based Definition (MBD) is an advantage.
  • Willingness to work in a two-shift system.

Aufgaben

  • Create and optimize offline measurement programs based on CAD models using Mitutoyo systems.
  • Perform tactile and scanning 3D measurements and ensure measurements are carried out correctly by CMM operators.
  • Support and assist with deviation, corrective action, and improvement processes in production and with suppliers.
  • Advise and support internal specialist departments on all measurement-related and process-related matters.
  • Promote professional exchange, collaboration, and knowledge transfer within measurement and production engineering.
  • Contribute to the introduction of new products, including the preparation of product-specific production inspection plans.
  • Perform initial measurements and validate measurement results as part of new product introductions.
  • Apply statistical methods (SPC) to monitor, control, and continuously improve production processes.
  • Use statistical and quality software, particularly Q-DAS, to analyse and evaluate process data.
  • Support and provide technical guidance to CMM operators in their daily work.
