Swiss Bank Zurich is seeking an experienced Cloud and Platform Engineer to provision and run platform services as code. The role focuses on Entra ID automation, a data platform on Azure, or a Kafka platform on Kubernetes.

You will apply Terraform, Helm and GitLab to build, test, and release CI/CD pipelines, while operating Azure Kubernetes and storage accounts. Strong German language skills (C1) are essential, with several years in a senior capacity.

Qualifications

• German language at C1 level or higher; the project language is German.
• Very good Azure skills and experience with Kubernetes.
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• DevOps toolchain with Git, GitLab, Docker and CI/CD.

For a renowned Swiss bank in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced cloud and platform engineer. You will provision and run platform services as code, depending on the team, with a focus on Entra ID automation, a data platform on Azure or a Kafka platform on Kubernetes.

Your tasks

1. Provision platform services with infrastructure as code, using Terraform, Helm and GitLab

2. Automate build, test and release processes and run CI/CD pipelines

3. Operate and develop Azure Kubernetes and storage accounts

4. Depending on the team, automate Entra ID, build a data platform on Azure Postgres with lakehouse technologies, or upgrade Confluent Kafka on Kubernetes

Your profile

1. German at C1 level or higher, the project language is German. Understanding of Swiss German is expected

2. Very good Azure skills and experience with Kubernetes

3. Infrastructure as code with Terraform

4. DevOps toolchain with Git, GitLab, Docker and CI/CD

5. Experience applying cloud security technologies

6. Several years of experience at senior level
