Job summary

Ikerian AG is seeking a CISO / Head of IT Security to drive our security strategy and internal IT operations. You will protect digital assets and ensure top data privacy standards in a global medical device software setting.

Lead a lean security program, align with business goals, and manage risk across healthcare and finance domains while guiding a distributed workforce and cloud-based architecture.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in a similar security leadership role, ideally in healthcare/finance
• Proven entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset
• Certifications preferred (CISSP, CISM)
• Experience in information security leadership and IT governance
• Expertise in cloud security architecture (AWS) and modern infra tools
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities

Responsibilities

• Define and implement the company-wide information security strategy and roadmap
• Oversee IT infrastructure for scalability, reliability, and security
• Lead compliance efforts for ISO 27001, SOC2, HIPAA, and GDPR
• Manage risk assessments, vulnerability testing, and incident response
• Supervise procurement and management of hardware/software for distributed workforce
• Foster security awareness through training and policy development

The Role

We are seeking a CISO / Head of IT Security to lead our security strategy and internal IT operations. This role is pivotal in safeguarding our digital assets and ensuring the highest standards of data privacy within the medical device software landscape. You will bridge the gap between technical security measures and the strategic needs of our growing global team.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement the company-wide information security strategy and roadmap
• Oversee IT infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security across all systems
• Lead compliance efforts for relevant standards such as ISO 27001, SOC2, HIPAA, and GDPR
• Manage risk assessments, vulnerability testing, and incident response protocols
• Supervise the procurement and management of hardware/software for a distributed workforce
• Foster a culture of security awareness through continuous training and policy development

Requirements

• 8 years of experience in a similar position (Finance sector start search)
• Demonstrated entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset
• University degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; professional certifications (CISSP, CISM) preferred
• Significant experience in information security and IT leadership, ideally within the healthcare or finance industry
• Expertise in cloud security architecture (AWS) and modern infrastructure tools
• Proven ability to manage complex IT projects and data privacy initiatives
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
