Job summary

Audi Revolut F1 Team is seeking a CFD professional to advance the CFD methodology used across aerodynamic development. You will contribute to modelling accuracy, workflow efficiency, and collaboration with external software providers on cutting-edge CFD projects.

The role covers development of CFD methods, parallel computing, and ML techniques, with responsibilities aligned to the candidate’s experience. Based in Hinwil or Bicester, the team pursues peak performance.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
• At least 3 years professional experience with CFD methods.
• Experience in parallel computing and HPC.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
• Familiarity with CFD development in OpenFOAM.
• Knowledge of high-Reynolds flows and turbulence modelling.
• Software release, update and deployment techniques.
• Data Science, ML, and AI knowledge are a plus.
• Ownership, accountability and delivery mindset.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to overall CFD process improvement.
• Work on CFD physical modelling to increase accuracy.
• Improve CFD workflow to reduce time to solution.
• Collaborate with external software providers on development projects.
• Explore innovative CFD techniques including GPU solvers and ML.
• Stay updated with advancements in CFD.
